A large amount of waste is created every year from discarded mattresses, which is something the Horizontal Button Bed aims to change thanks to a biodegradable bed design. The bed is reported to be an advanced bedding system that will work to reduce the amount of materials that go to the landfill and also extend the life of the furniture piece. This is thanks to the replaceable parts that are intended to swapped out when they have reached the end of their life to make the mattress ready to last a lifetime.

The Horizontal Button Bed is crafted with materials that are 99.8% biodegradable including wood and cotton, and is completely free from unwarned components including petroleum, plastics, polymers, coils, chemicals and carbon.
